A reason to celebrate!

1st place for Sustain2030

In June 2022, the SDG simulation game Sustain2030 won 1st place in the category “Online Platform – Consulting” at the German Award for Sustainability Projects from the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ).

The German Award for Sustainability Projects

Under the patronage of Brigitte Zypries (former Federal Minister), the German Award for Sustainability Projects was presented for the second time by the German Institute for Service Quality, the news channel ntv and the DUP UNTERNEHMER magazine on 08 June 2022.

The focus of the award is on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. The aim is to make sustainable commitment visible at all levels – from microenterprises to associations and initiatives to large corporations – and thus inspire more companies and institutions to launch sustainable projects.

A top-class jury from business, science and the media chaired by Yvonne Zwick (Chairwoman of B.A.U.M. e.V.) evaluated the entries and awarded prizes to the best projects in 28 categories.

The evaluation of the jury

“The jury welcomes the concept, which presents difficult knowledge in a global perspective and approaches the topic of the SDGs in a playful way in order to convey knowledge in a vivid way. Where political opinions are formed, complexity often becomes a trap because the impact of problems cannot be fully assessed. The tool would also be desirable in administrations, the legislature, etc., to refine thinking approaches.
